Light in the Darkness

This is a song I wrote during Christmas break of my freshman year at UNC. It talks about being lights of the world. It's the first song I had ever written, so be gentle.
A lone candle in the darkness
There to give its light
Scared and unwilling
To guide the blind to sight

You say you're not ready
A fallen world too hard to face
You say you need more time
But you're the light of the world
And I cry, "The time is now".

(Chorus)

Let the flame that's inside you
Not only consume you
But glow all around you
And speak of my glory
What are you waiting for?

My love and mercy are unending
Glowing embers will ignite a flame
A raging fire can have no bounds
But put to death by cool rain
Don't tame it

(repeat chorus)
